The Bruvvers are one of Britain's first Rock 'n' Roll bands who helped set the path for the Beatles, The Rolling Stones and many other bands from the early sixties.
The Bruvvers along with singer Joe Brown,  had a string of top ten hits throughout the sixties including the No.1 hit "A Picture of You" written by Peter Oakman.

In 1970 Pete, along with Joe Brown, formed Brown's Home Brew which featured Joe's wife Vicki Brown who later had her own success in the Netherlands. In 1972 The Bruvvers under the name of "Harley Quinne" had a top twenty hit in the UK with "New Orleans" which also had success throughout Europe and has recently been re-released on a 70's compilation album in Europe.

During the last 35 years Peter Oakman has been a regular member of Lonnie Donegan's Skiffle Group which sadly ended when Lonnie passed away in November 2002. Today the band features long-term Bruvvers Peter Oakman on Bass/Vocals, John Clare on Guitar/Vocals, Pete's son Steven now a mature Rock 'n' Roll keyboard player, and ex Leo Sayer and Thunderclap Newman Drummer Chris Hunt - a well seasoned musician who provides a solid back-beat.

The Bruvvers have toured in France, Germany, Israel, Cyprus and have recently toured the UK on the biggest sell-out tour featuring Brenda Lee, Len Barry & Chris Montez.
The wealth of experience between Pete, John, Chris and Steven has taken the "THE BRUVVERS" from strength to strength, playing good solid Rock 'n' Roll not only for audiences of the sixties but also for today's generation.
